The Query Tab

Use the Query tab in the Catalog Browser to recall a saved query that has been created with a data management tool such as SQLWizard. For information about using a query during a migration, see Migrating Certain Rows and Columns.

To view a list of the available saved queries, click the Query tab on the left side of the Browser window.

To locate a query, click the + buttons to expand the database hierarchy until the query name appears.

To recall a saved query from the Query tab, do one of the following:

The recalled query is displayed in the Query window. You can edit the query or accept it as is.

Note:

If your recalled query contains SQL statements besides SELECT, we recommend that you remove them before running the migration. The Query window should contain only a single SELECT statement to specify the data that is to be migrated to another table. For more information about migrating data from a query, see Migrating Certain Rows and Columns.
