To debug using Java CodeWatch

By default, Enterprise Developer uses the Java CodeWatch application to debug PL/I applications.

When you start debugging, Visual Studio enters debug mode and launches Java CodeWatch. Stopping the debugging from within Visual Studio closes Java CodeWatch. Alternatively, closing Java CodeWatch causes Visual Studio to exit debug mode.

See the section CodeWatch User's Guide and the PL/I tutorials for details on how to use the Java CodeWatch application.

Restriction: The Visual Studio debugging features (the options and settings accessible from the Debug menu, breakpoints and watchpoints setting, etc.) are not applicable when you are debugging PL/I applications using Java CodeWatch. You can only use the debugging features available from the Java CodeWatch application.
