Removing an item from a catalog search filter

If the Mainframe Explorer window is not displayed, click View > Mainframe Explorer.

You can remove an item from the results of a catalog search filter, which is removed from view until the catalog search filter is refreshed.

  1. In the Mainframe Explorer window, log on to the mainframe.
  2. Expand the required search filter to display the data sets.
  3. Expand the required data set to show its members, if applicable.
  4. Right-click the required item, then click Remove from display. The item is removed from the catalog search filter.
    Note: Removing the item is not the same as hiding it. You cannot view removed items until the catalog search filter is refreshed, by using the Refresh option or by logging off and back on to the mainframe, at which time, the removed items are located again by the catalog search filter.
