Use one of the following procedures to configure the communications software on the machine where XDB Link is installed:
- If XDB Link will connect to the host via TCP/IP, follow the procedure described in the section Configuring TCP/IP Software for the PC.
- If XDB Link will connect to the host via SNA, follow the procedure described in the section Configuring the Microsoft SNA Server . When the procedure asks you to enter the VTAM APPLID for DB2, enter the VTAM APPLID assigned to the XDB Link Host Option
for PEM instead.
