Direct Flight Data Connection Properties

This section describes the data connection properties that you can set in your Java applet or application. You can specify data connection properties in the URL or in a Properties Object. See the section Connecting to an XDB Server for more information.

user
Sets the AuthID that an applet or application will use to log on to the XDB Server.
password
Sets the password for the AuthID specified in the user property.
profile
Sets the name of the data profile an applet or application will use to retrieve the values of data connection properties defined in the SYSXDB.SYSPROFILES table.
profile.location
Sets the name of the location on the XDB Server where an applet or application will first log on.
profile.canoverride
Determines whether the properties associated with profile can be overridden in the URL or in a Properties Object.
profile.default
Determines whether the entry represents the default profile.
maxrows
Sets the maximum number of rows the Direct Flight driver will return in response to a query.
maxfieldsize
Sets the size of the largest data field the Direct Flight driver will return in response to a query.
numthreads
Sets the number of threads for which the Direct Flight driver will optimize the data connection.
timeout
Sets the number of milliseconds an applet or application will wait for a response from the XDB Server before causing an exception.
cache.numrecs
Sets the maximum number of records that the Direct Flight driver will prefetch for read-only queries.
cache.size
Sets the maximum number of bytes that the Direct Flight driver will prefetch for read-only queries.
cache.fetch.numrecs
Sets the maximum number of records that the Direct Flight driver will fetch in one batch when prefetching records for read-only queries.
cache.fetch.size
Sets the maximum number of bytes that the Direct Flight driver will fetch in one batch when prefetching records for read-only queries.
