Create the Standby Servers

  1. On the Enterprise Server Administration home page, click Add.

    Page 1 of the Add server wizard appears.

  2. In the Server Name field, type GREEN, then click Next.

    Page 2 of the Add server wizard appears.

  3. Ensure that Micro Focus Enterprise Server with Mainframe Subsystem Support is selected, then click Next.

    Page 3 of the Add server wizard appears.

  4. In the System Directory field, type c:\HA\GREEN (Windows only). On UNIX platforms, you'll use the default system directory location, which is /var/mfcobol/es/GREEN.
  5. Clear the Create TS3270 listener option.
  6. In the Configuration Information field, type the following:
    [ES-Environment]
    ES_HA_VSAM=Y;RED,localhost,9045,86;GREEN,localhost,9046;BLUE,localhost,9047

    See Configure the High Availability Group Environment Variable for full syntax options for this variable.

  7. Click Add.
  8. Repeat this process for another server named BLUE, specifying the system directory as c:\HA\BLUE on Windows platforms.

    The standby servers are created, and appear in the table on the Enterprise Server Administration home page.

When all of the servers have been created, you must add the required listener to each server.
