Privileges

Restriction: This topic applies to Windows environments only.

Control privileges at each individual server. Each server controls its own access security. When using outbound mapping, make sure that the new AuthID given is a valid AuthID at the remote XDB Server to which the request is being sent. The new AuthID must be a valid AuthID, created by the SQL Wizard Admin menu (Windows) or the CREATE USER command in Interactive SQL (UNIX) and listed in the SYSXDB.SYSACFUSERS table. If inbound mapping is not being used on the remote XDB Server, the AuthID sent must also have the appropriate privileges to access data.
