Disconnecting

Restriction: This topic applies to Windows environments only.

Note that when the client application is done with the location on the remote server, the client application can disconnect from the remote server (using the embedded SQL command CONNECT RESET). By disconnecting, all links to the remote server are removed and the connection is returned to the primary server. If multiple XDB Servers have been accessed in sequence, the connection will be returned to the XDB Server most recently controlling the client.

Note:

If SET LOCATION TO was used by any client to connect to the second server, there is no way to break the connection until the user ends the session.
