Update the Enterprise Server SIT, and create a PCT entry for the EPI program

  1. From the Listeners page, click on the Server... tab to take you back to the main administration screen for CTGDEMO, which will still be running.
  2. Click on the Control tab and then on the ES Monitor & Control button. The main ESMAC screen for CTGDEMO appears.
  3. Select by Group in the Resources list on the left-hand side, and then click on Startup to display the currently defined startup lists.
  4. Click on Details next to DEMOSTRT, enter MCOGROUP in the first empty field at the bottom and click Apply.
  5. Select by Type in the Resources list on the left-hand side, then click PCT to reveal the currently defined PCT entries.
  6. In the New group at the top of the PCT screen, click PCT to create a new PCT entry.
  7. Leave most fields at their default values, and complete these as follows:
    • Name: enter EPI1.
    • Grp: select MCOGROUP from the list.
    • Description: enter a description, such as EPI CTG demo.
    • Program Name: enter EPISRV.
  8. Click Add at the bottom of the screen to save the new entry - the message Add successful appears at the top of the page.
  9. Select by Group in the Resources list on the left-hand side, then click SIT to display the currently defined SIT tables.
  10. Click Details in the row corresponding to DEMOSIT to display the details for the SIT.
  11. Ensure that the following fields have the specified values:
    • Startup List: ensure that DEMOSTRT is selected from the list.
    • Initial Tran ID: ensure this is blank.
    • IBM Client: ensure that the checkbox is checked, the Port field contains 1435 and the Count field contains 4.
  12. Click Apply.
  13. You need to restart the server to pick up your changes. Select Start > All Programs > Micro Focus Enterprise Developer > Tools > Enterprise Developer Command Prompt (32 bit). The command prompt window will appear.
  14. Stop the currently running server by entering: casstop /rCTGDEMO. In a few moments, the server will stop.
  15. Restart your server by entering casstart /rCTGDEMO in the command prompt window. In a few moments, the server will start.
