Password Enforcement Level

Restriction: This topic applies to Windows environments only.

Before setting up initial passwords for users (or before users change their passwords), select a password enforcement level from the options provided on the Options Utility.

Password level options are:

Level Options
Level 1: Password must be four or more characters.
Level 2: Password must be six or more characters and include at least one digit (numeric).
Level 3: Password must be six or more characters, include at least one digit (numeric), and must include the two randomly generated characters that appear in the prompt message on the SQLWizard Add/Modify User screen. (From the SQLWizard Admin menu, select User.)

Users can change their passwords by using the SQLWizard Change Password command.

Note:

Depending on your security needs, you might wish to establish two AuthID/Password accounts on the server; one for Micro Focus locations and one for DB2 locations.
