SPLREPAIR

A Windows batch file (.bat) or UNIX shell executable file (.sh) that rebuilds corrupt spool control files.

The utility first backs up the existing SPL* files (to a separate directory), and then attempts to rebuild them.

Syntax:

Windows:

SPLREPAIR.bat backup-directory

UNIX:

SPLREPAIR.sh backup-directory

Parameters:

backup-directory
The path and directory name of the location to which your existing spool control files will be backed up.
Note: The directory must already exist, but not contain existing copies of the SPL* files that will be backed up.

Comments:

Run SPLREPAIR from the location that contains your spool control files (that is, the same location as catalog.dat, or the directory indicated by the MVSSPOOLDIR environment variable if the spool control files are stored elsewhere).

Example:

Windows:

SPLREPAIR C:\SpoolCTRL\bkup

UNIX:

SPLREPAIR.sh /SpoolCTRL/bkup
