You can configure an enterprise server so that all I/O for CICS- or JCL-related files is handled by a stand-alone Fileshare server. The advantage of this setup is that it provides transactional VSAM file access for CICS-related files. This is the recommended approach for VSAM file support in Enterprise Server.
