Creating a Log File

Use the /CATLOG=log-file-location argument to specify the location of a log file for the auto-catalog process.

You can control the level of messages that are written to the log file by using the /LOGLEVEL=msg-level argument:

• /LOGLEVEL=ERROR specifies that only error messages are written to the log file.
• /LOGLEVEL=VERBOSE specifies that additional messages are written.

Specifying /LOGLEVEL=ERROR can significantly reduce the size of the log file.
