Compressing a data set
If the
Remote Systems
window is not displayed, click
Window
>
Show View
>
Remote Systems
.
You can only compress partitioned data sets.
In the
Remote Systems
window, log on to the mainframe.
Expand the required search filter, select the required partitioned data sets, then right-click and select
Compress dataset
.
Tip:
To select more than one data set, hold down
Ctrl
while selecting the required data sets.
The selected data sets are compressed.
