Preconditions

You must have installed either an Enterprise Developer product or IDz with the Application Workflow Manager plug-in on top of IDz.

Some AWM Function Packages described in this guide are only available if a specific product or a specific license is installed:

• The ISPF, MVS, and USS function packages are only available if a license of Enterprise Developer Connect or Enterprise Developer for z Systems is installed.
• The Micro FocusEnterprise Server and Micro Focus Project function packages are only available if a license of Enterprise Developer or Enterprise Developer for z Systems is installed. Neither function package are available in IDz.
• The Micro Focus Editor Function Package is not available in IDz.
• The IDz function package is only available in IDz.

You need Eclipse plugin development skills to develop your own function packages or to extend a function package. This guide describes the usage of function package which does not require plugin development skills.

You need ISPF programming skills to understand the content related to attaching ISPF tools and REXX procedures.

If the application modeling and attachment of the tools are carried out by different people, precise coordination is necessary between the modeling work and the tool attachment.
