To edit DBD, MFS, and PSB files

To edit a .dbd, .mfs, or .psb file in an Eclipse editor:

  • In the COBOL Explorer, right-click a .dbd, .mfs, or .psb file; then select Open With from the context menu.
  • Depending on the type of file you want to edit, select DBD Editor, MFS Editor, or PSB Editor, respectively, from the context menu.

These Eclipse editors provide a basic level of colorization for items such as reserved words and comments. They do not support background parsing or syntax checking.

In addition to directly editing one of these file types, you can also edit database data for .dbd and .psb files using Micro Focus Classic Data File Tools. For details, see IMS Database Editor .
