Gateway Profile Utility

Restriction: This topic applies to Windows environments only.

Before clients can access data from remote locations, you must use the Gateway Profile Utility to:

Define remote locations to the XDB Link so that client applications can access data in those locations
Configure the settings the XDB Link needs to translate data correctly and control client conversations

After the initial configuration, you can use the Gateway Profile Utility to modify existing settings or define additional remote locations.

The XDB Link may be installed:

On an XDB Server machine as part of a gateway configuration
or
On an client machine as part of a direct-connect configuration

To display the main window of the Gateway Profile Utility, double-click the Gateway Profile Utility icon.
