Access List Message

Restriction: This topic applies to Windows environments only.

When the Host Option for TCP/IP is installed, a list of client IP addresses to be permitted or rejected is created (the Link Configuration Guide describes how to create this list). If the Host Option for TCP/IP receives a request from a client that is not in this list, a WTOR message is issued to the system console.

The operator can issue a PERMIT to accept the connection or REJECT to reject the connection. Issuing a PERMIT temporarily grants access to the requesting client.

The following example shows a WTOR message followed by both possible operator responses:
