To launch the project, Micro Focus suggests that you schedule a meeting of the project team to plan the configuration effort
and ensure that each organization understands its role in the process. The primary objectives of this meeting are to:
- Identify who must do what and when.
- Distribute and/or complete the worksheets.
- Ensure that everyone has the information they need to successfully configure the component for which they are responsible.
- Define the security measures you will implement between XDB Link and the host.
Because the configuration process involves steps on both the host and the server, some or all of the following people will
need to attend:
- VTAM systems programmers
- Database administrators for all database systems that XDB Link will access
- LAN system administrators
- TCP/IP network administrators
- Security systems administrators
