Edit Menu

Restriction: This topic applies to Windows environments only.

Although it is not available when SQLWizard first starts, the Edit menu is available when working with many of SQLWizard's features. The Edit menu typically provides functions to undo the last changes, cut/copy/paste using the clipboard, and perform other edit functions. This menu changes depending on the window that is active.

Undo If there are changes to the current field that can be restored to their previous state, click this command to undo them.
Redo If there are changes to the current field that can be entered again, click this command. (This command only appears on the menu when appropriate to the task at hand.)
Cut Removes the currently selected text or object and saves it to the clipboard.
Copy Copies the currently selected text or object to the clipboard.
Paste Pastes the current clipboard contents at the cursor position. If the data on the clipboard is not compatible, it is not pasted.
Delete Deletes the selected item or the text at the cursor position.
Other menu items Depending on what kind of SQLWizard window is active, other commands may appear on this menu, such as the Insert Row and Delete Row commands that are used when using a Result table to do data entry. The 72-column Format command is available when a SQL Edit window is the current window.
