Using Security

Restriction: This topic applies to Windows environments only.

If you are connecting to a multi-user XDB Server on a LAN, or if you are using XDB Link to access DB2 or another database system, your XDB Server Administrator will most likely require you to run with Security on, and you will have to enter a password. (If you are running against an XDB Server that is running with its security feature on, then you must turn SQLWizard's security on.)

To turn SQLWizard's security on, enable the Client Security option on the Security tab in the Options utility. This option causes the Connect dialog box to appear when SQLWizard is loaded, allowing you to enter a password.
