Select and Drag

Restriction: This topic applies to Windows environments only.

You can select (highlight) one or more tables and drag them to the Query Design or SQL Edit window. You can select multiple columns and drag them to an SQL Edit window or a Create/Alter Table window. Dragging a table name to the SQLWizard desktop will open the table (displaying the data in a Result window).

The mouse pointer changes shape to indicate where you can drop the object.

When the mouse pointer is in the Catalog Browser or in an area where you can drop the object, the mouse pointer appears as a pile of papers.

When the mouse pointer is in an area that cannot accept the object, the mouse pointer appears as the international NO symbol.

Note:

You can select from only one hierarchy level at a time.
