Using Batch Export

Restriction: This topic applies to Windows environments only.

When you enter export specifications and use the Save As command from the File menu, you are to saving the contents of the Export window. The saved file is a Batch Export file containing one export transaction. It has a .exp file name extension. A Batch Export file also can be created using any ASCII text editor. You can preview how an export specification would look as a batch file by clicking on Batch Export Commands from the View menu.

Batch Export is particularly useful when you have a number of similar tables to export, or when you export the same table(s) on a regular basis. Once you have created a Batch Export file you can use it over and over, with or without modification.
