Date Duration

Restriction: This topic applies to Windows environments only.

In DB2 mode, this type of duration represents a number of years, months or days expressed as a DECIMAL(8,0) number (in XDB mode the number is expressed in days). The number must have the format YYYYMMDD. For example, the result of subtracting one DATE value from another (such as SHIPDATE-ORDERDATE) is a date duration (in XDB mode the units of the result are days).
