Case Sensitivity

Restriction: This topic applies to Windows environments only.

To enhance readability in this reference, command keywords always appear in capital letters. For actual database operations, however, XDB Server keywords are not case sensitive and may be entered in either all upper case, all lower case, or any combination of upper and lower case letters.

The character sort sequence for each XDB Server location defaults to case insensitive -- which can be changed to standard ASCII, standard EBCDIC or a user defined sorting scheme. XDB Server Administrators can change the sort sequence for an XDB Server location. Users can choose to use the default location sort or specify their own sort through client configuration, described in your client tools documentation.
