Enterprise Developer provides a command-line version of MFASM, the mainframe assembler emulator for IBM High Level Assembler programs, that allows users to create assembler executables or data tables within the Visual Studio environment. The MFASM component is intended to provide a test environment for COBOL applications to call needed assembler subroutines which have already been developed and debugged in other environments. This test environment is for Enterprise Developer only. Assembler executables do not run in production environments.
