To Define Properties in a Region Startup File

The properties to be used by a region are defined in the region start-up file. To do this:
  1. Open the startup file of the region you are configuring, with the Region Startup File editor. See To Edit a CICS Region Configuration or To Edit a Region Startup File Associated with a JES Region
  2. In the Results pane, expand the Region node and select the Properties node. See 1 in the diagram below.

    A grid will be displayed in which existing name/value pairs are displayed, and where new ones can be defined.

  3. Enter your name/value pairs in the grid. See 2 in the diagram below.
  4. Choose File > Save, or click the Save icon in the toolbar to save the file. See 3 in the diagram below.
You must cold-start the region for the changes to take effect.
