Use this page to administer ES for .NET CICS regions, also known as Managed CICS regions.

To administer a region, you must add it to the list of known regions.

Note: The ES for .NET MMC snap-in and seeadminserver maintain separate collections of known regions. Regions must be added to the two administration tools individually.

To add a new region:

  1. Click +ADD.

    This opens the ADD REGION dialog box.

  2. In the Name field, type your region's name.
  3. In the Database Server field, type the server instance location where you want your region database to be created.
  4. In the Start/Stop Server field, type the default service host name where the region will be run.
  5. Optionally, in the Startup File field, click the folder icon and choose the startup file required or type the file.
  6. Click OK.

To view the properties and operations for a region, double-click on a region in the list, or click the Edit Edit icon, or expand the CICS node in the navigation pane and select a region below it.
