trace on error[4]

Restriction: These options apply only when the Enterprise Server feature is enabled.

If this option is enabled, MFCS will keep the most recent trace entries in memory until an EZ Sockets API call returns with a non-zero MFCS return code, a RETCODE value of -1, or a non-zero ERRNO value; or as specified in the optional trace error filter configuration option; then it will write those entries to the log or trace file. See trace error filter for more information. [15]

The number of entries stored is 50 unless overridden by the trace buffer size option.

Syntax:

trace on error=yes|no

Parameters:

Yes
Trace entries are written only after an error occurs.
No
Trace entries are written according to the trace buffer size setting (if set), or written immediately (if trace buffer size is not set).

Properties:

Default: No
