The default output file name for any new segment layout file is
Layout.slf, and can be saved in a directory of your choice. However, i
f you follow these conventions, the IMS Database Editor automatically applies the appropriate segment layout file to a DBD
or PSB when you open it for editing:
- Save the segment layout file in the same directory as the DBD or PSB file
- Name it using the same file prefix as the DBD or PSB file
- Use the
.slf file extension
