MFIMSGIO - Read and Update Gen Files

MFIMSGIO is a routine that can be called by a stand-alone program or by an online IMS program. MFIMSGIO provides for:

• Reading and deleting DBD, PSB and MFS Gen data
• Adding, replacing or deleting Trancode and Printer definitions
• Adding, replacing or deleting DB Catalog entries
• Updating the System Configuration data
• Other system functions and information

The called routine is named MFIMSGIO, and is provided by Enterprise Developer. A sample program named CALLGIO.CBL and an accompanying text file, MFIMSGIO.TXT, are located by default in the %PUBLIC%\Documents\Micro Focus\Enterprise Developer\Samples\Mainframe\IMS\Classic\Examples (Windows) or $COBDIR/demo/ims/examples (UNIX) directory. The program shows sample uses of the MFIMSGIO interface, and the text file provides a detailed explanation of all the functions available with this interface.
