Deleting an AuthID

Restriction: This topic applies to Windows environments only.

Delete button
The Delete button allows you to remove an AuthID from the system based on the AuthID displayed. Confirmation is required before an AuthID is removed.

Note: You can temporarily deny a user's access to the system without deleting the AuthID or changing any specifications. To deny access, de-select the Access Authority checkbox, then click the Update button.

Instructions for deleting AuthIDs from an XDB Server's list of AuthIDs are provided below. See the description of the Add/Modify User dialog box for information about each item on that dialog box.

To delete an AuthID:

  1. Click the Users command from the Admin menu to display the Add/Modify User dialog box.
  2. Use the User Name drop-down list to choose the AuthID to be removed.
  3. Click the Delete button. SQLWizard prompts you to confirm the removal of the selected AuthID.
  4. Add, delete, or update other users if desired. When done, click the Close button to exit the Add/Modify User dialog box.
