Restricting Enterprise Server for .NET with ESF

This topic outlines the steps you need to take to restrict Enterprise Server for .NET with an External Security Facility (ESF).

Security managers and security configurations for Enterprise Server for .NET are configured separately from those used by other Enterprise Server components. Use the Enterprise Server for .NET MMC snap-in to create and administer security managers and security configurations for Enterprise Server for .NET.

To restrict Enterprise Server for .NET with ESF:

  1. Open the seeadminserver.exe.config configuration file in an editor. The configuration file is located in the product under binAnyCPU\SEE.
  2. Uncomment the <security> XML element and change as required.
  3. You can then set a security configuration and stack of security managers as required.
