Create the Regions to go in the PAC

To create the two regions that are going to be members of your PAC:

  1. In the navigation pane, click Directory Servers > Default.
Note: Regions are created and hosted under the selected directory server. Micro Focus recommends that the regions in a PAC should reside on different machines to avoid single points of failure.
  2. On the REGION AND SERVER LIST page, click * NEW.

This opens the NEW REGION dialog box.

  3. In the Name field, type REGION1.
  4. In the Description field, type PAC Region 1.
  5. Check 64-Bit Working Mode.
Note: The PAC and MFDBFH can support both 32 or 64-bit working modes, as long as the RDBMS, ODBC, and NoSQL also support it.

All regions in a PAC must use the same bitism.

  6. Click SAVE.
  7. Repeat steps 2 through 6 but this time, type REGION2 in step 3 and PAC Region 2 in step 4.
