Server Instance Properties: Scripts

Use this page to edit advanced attributes of an enterprise server.

To access this page:

  1. On the server instance screen, select the Server > Properties > Scripts tabs.
ES Start Script

Specify a script to be executed to start the enterprise server. This will override the casstart command that is executed when you start an enterprise server. It is used only if you check Enabled (start script).

Enabled(start script)

Check this to enable the ES Start Script.

ES Stop Script

Specify a script to be executed to stop the enterprise server. This will override the casstop command that is executed when you stop an enterprise server. It is used only if you check Enabled (stop script).

Check this to enable the ES Stop Script.

On server not responding after n connection attempts

Specify the number of reconnection attempts that you want to take place before taking the action in the small entry field; the default is 1. Specify a script to be executed when the server has failed to respond to the server monitor the number of times specified in the large entry field. It is used only if you check Enabled (non-response script).

Enabled (non-response script)

Check this to enable the non-response script.

Process User ID

UNIX only. Specify a user ID to be attached to all processes started for this enterprise server, including the server itself. If you do not specify a Process User ID, the value set in Default Process User ID on the Configure Options page is used, if there is one. Otherwise, all processes run as user root, which can create problems with security and access to files. You can specify either a numeric user ID or a username.
