You provide the path to your XFDs on the command line when first populating your system catalog using xdbcutil or addfile. Once your XFDs are used by xdbcutil, AcuXDBC no longer needs them. Your XFDs are completely expendable unless they are being used by another application. See Creating a System Catalog and Views for more information.
