3.4.5 Changing Colors

In a VT or WYSE session you can add color to the text in your display window by assigning (mapping) the various character attributes and their combinations to different colors.

In addition, in a VT, SCO-ANSI, or AT386 session you can change the value of any color index so that ISO and attribute mapping use a different shade for that color.

The DIGITAL VT340 can display 16 colors at a time selected from 4096 colors. Your personal computer running Windows might have a different color capability. Options are provided so you can obtain the best color match.

In a VT, SCO-ANSI, or AT386 session you can select the option Use Exact Colors on the Display Colors page. When this option is selected, 16 of the 256 colors are used to exactly match the VT colors.

The host can also define colors using the appropriate ReGIS commands.

The Settings - Display Color Page

You can use the options on the Color page to change the colors displayed on your screen. This page is available in VT, SCO-ANSI, and AT386 sessions only.
