Settings - 5250 Printer, Printer Page

Use the 5250 Printer, Printer page to select a print destination (printer or file) and to select a printer or file name for the print output.

Setting	Description
Destination	Displays print destination options.
Printer	Sends print data to a printer.
Printer Name	Select the name of the printer to which you want to print. You must choose the Apply button before moving on to other printer settings.
File	Sends print data to file on your PC.
File Name	Type the file name to print to. NOTE:If no file name is specified, print data is sent to the default PC printer.
Append to Existing File	When selected, the print job will be added to the end of the specified file. If the file does not exist, it will be created.
Browse button	Search for an existing file.
Bypass Windows GDI	Translates the print data stream directly to raw ASCII, and strips the data stream of host printing control commands.
Paper Status	Shows the current status of paper size and paper source when a PC-based printer is selected in the Printer list box under Destination. This paper size and paper source will be used if Use PC Paper Setting is selected on the Paper/Margins page.
Size	Shows the currently selected paper size and dimension when a PC-based printer is selected in the Printer list box under Destination. This paper size will be used if Use PC Paper Setting is selected on the Paper/Margins page.
Source	Shows the currently selected paper source when a PC-based printer is selected in the Printer list box under Destination. This paper source will be used if Use PC Paper Setting is selected in the Paper/Margins page.
