Import and Export Settings
Use the Import/Export function to transfer settings between sessions. The ability to import and export settings is enabled by the administrator. The sessions can be in the same cluster or in a different cluster.
Exporting session settings
-
Click Export to capture the current session's settings, making them available for transfer to other sessions.
-
When you export your settings, the export includes the default settings configured by your administrator (minus session macros) and any customizations that you've made. If your session has been configured by an administrator to allow user macros, then your exports and imports will include your macros as well as your session settings.
-
Settings are downloaded as a .json file and are saved to your computer.
-
You cannot export or import session macros created by the administrator.
Importing session settings
Settings that you've implemented in one session can be re-used in other sessions.
-
Click Import to upload a settings file (that was previously exported).
-
After selecting a file to import, choose which settings you want to import. You can import those settings which you have permission to modify. Permissions are set by the administrator.
More information
- The administrator import and export function is detailed in the Deployment Guide. Administrators control which settings, if any, can be customized by end users.
