Hyperlinking refers to the ability for IDOL to connect related documents to results. This is implemented with the Suggest action.
The Suggest action picks the highest weighted terms for a specified document, and returns a set of documents based on those terms. The terms to suggest on are drawn from the configured source fields for the specified document.
Generally speaking there is a compromise between the quality of the suggested documents and the performance of the Suggest action. You might need to experiment with parameters to find the right settings for a particular application.
The fastest configuration has AdvancedSuggest turned off, and uses a small value for SuggestTerms.
