The Migration Tool is installed as part of the Open Enterprise Server (OES) 2023 installation. The source server and the target server must meet the requirements outlined in this section.
Platform Support for the Source Server:

Time Synchronization:
The source and target servers must be using the same time synchronization method. For more information on time synchronization, see Time Services
in the OES 2023: Planning and Implementation Guide.
The source server contains the files, volumes, and eDirectory objects that are to be copied to the target server.
The source server must be running supported versions of OES and eDirectory.
Update the source server with the latest OES Support Pack.
Ensure that the user performing the migration has read/write/access rights on the source server.
Ensure that the user performing the migration has read/write/access rights on the target server.
Ensure that the hostname and IP address of the source and target servers are mapped correctly. The /etc/hosts file on the target server must contain FQDN entry for the source server's DNS hostname to an IP address.
OES does not support the following as Migration Tool target server:
Novell Open Workgroup Suite - Small Business Edition
