Task

Description

Upgrade the PTM Appliance from version 2 to version 2019.2.

See Section 7.0, Upgrading PlateSpin Transformation Manager.

If you have installed instances of PlateSpin Migrate Connector 2 on your Linux servers, you must upgrade the Connector software to version 2019.2.

Upgrade the software for each Connector associated with each project. See Section 8.0, Upgrading PlateSpin Migrate Connector on Host Servers.

If you have PlateSpin Migrate 2018.11 servers defined for the Project, you must upgrade them to PlateSpin Migrate 2019.2.

After you have updated the Connectors for a project, you can begin to upgrade the PlateSpin Migrate servers associated with the project.

See Section 9.0, Upgrading PlateSpin Migrate Servers.

After the project’s Connector instances and their associated Migrate servers have been upgraded:

  1. (Automated migrations) For automated migrations controlled by PTM, resume replications and migrations. In the PTM Web Interface, remove the On Hold state for workloads.

  2. (Tracked migrations) For tracked migrations controlled by PlateSpin Migrate, resume replications and migrations. In the Migrate Web Interface, un-pause schedules for workloads.

Allow PTM users to access the PTM Web Interface to resume project activities.

Inform users that the upgrade is complete and the migration environment is ready for use.
