Marking Items as Coinciding OCCURS
- In the Catalog Explorer, double-click the
File Definitions node, then double-click the required file definition.
The <file-definition-name> tab is displayed.
- Select the first data item entry that contains a coinciding OCCURS, right-click and select
Identify coinciding OCCURS.
The Identify Coinciding OCCURS dialog box is displayed, with the current item (already selected) and the other data items containing OCCURS clauses. The current item is marked as the master table, in that other coinciding items are indexed through this one.
- In the
Coincides column, select the other items that coincide, and then click
Apply.
Note: You cannot select other subscripted items that contain subscript conditions.
The Coincides with column is updated in the file definition, to indicate the coinciding data items. Also, the subscript item for each coinciding item (other than the master one) is removed, as it is no longer required.
- Click Save to Catalog.
