Editing Locations

Describes how to edit a location.

To edit a location:

  1. In the menu, click Administration > Execution Environment.
  2. Select the location that you want to modify and click Edit.

The Edit Location dialog box displays.

  3. Modify the Location Name as required.
  4. If you have specified the location of a proxy server, select Use System Proxy by checking the respective check box. For more information, see Configuring a System Proxy.
  5. In the Location Proxy section, you can define a proxy server through which the execution servers of this location will communicate with the application server.
Note: To connect execution servers through a proxy, the execution server secure port must be changed from 19125 to 443. For command-line-driven execution servers, you can specify the port as a parameter. For other execution servers, specify the port in the file SccExecServerBootConf.xml. This .xml file is located on the execution server, in the Silk Central directory, in /conf/execserver. Make sure that SSL is enabled under Administration > Execution Environment > Execution Servers.
  6. In the Host field, type the name of the computer hosting the proxy service.
  7. In the Port field, type the port number of the proxy host.
  8. If the proxy server requires a username/password authentication, type the valid credentials in the Username and Password fields.
  9. The Projects section includes a list of existing projects. Check the Assigned check boxes of the projects that you want to assign to this location.
  10. Click OK.
