Changing ports

If port 5461 is in use by another application, or if you need to change ports for some other reason, you can do one of the following:

If you have not installed Silk Meter yet, you can set the port during the Silk Meter setup.
If you have already installed Silk Meter:
1. Use the Service Manager to stop the Silk Meter Proxy Service.
2. Change the port in the config.xml configuration file.
3. Use the Service Manager to start the Silk Meter Proxy Service again.
4. To update the connection information for the clients use either the
  
  Client Admin Tool
  
  or the
  
  Policy Adminisrator
  
  to update the old port number to the new used port number on the Silk Meter server host and on any client host.
