To set the default agent using the
Runtime Options dialog box:

In the main menu, click
.
The
Runtime Options dialog box opens.

Select the agent that you want to use as the default from the
Default Agent list box.

If you use the Classic Agent, select the type of network you want to use in the
Network list box. If you select the Open Agent, TCP/IP is automatically selected.

If you use named agents, select the local agent name from the
Agent Name list box. For instance, if your environment uses multiple agents or a port that uses a value other than the default, select
the local agent.

Click
OK.
When you record a test case,
Silk Test Classic automatically uses the default agent.
