This section explains how to create a simple mapping. A simple mapping may not be suitable for immediately importing users
and groups. You may have to refine it as explained in the next few sections.

Mappings dialog box opens.

Add.
The
Mapping Properties dialog box opens.

Enter the name in the
Name field.

The
User Filter and
Group Filter fields are set to default settings often used by directory services. These settings may or may not work for your directory
service or LDIF file, but leave them as they are for the time being.

The
Show All LDAP Nodes check box is selected by default. Leave it that way so that you see all the possible nodes in the
Sources pane.

OK and then
Close.
