Adding a Value to an Enumerated Property

Occasionally, you need to add a value to an enumerated property. Usually, the new value is an addition to the workflow control property. For convenience, Workflow Designer allows you to add that value from within the designer.

CAUTION:
Before you click OK, be sure that the field name and codes you select are the ones that you want. They cannot be changed after you exit this dialog box. The display name and the values can be changed from StarTeam, but not from Workflow Designer.

To add an enumerated value to a custom field:

  1. From the Workflow Properties dialog box, New Step dialog box or Edit Step dialog box's General tab, click Add Value. The Add Enumerated Value dialog box opens.
  2. Click Add. The Add Value dialog opens.
  3. Use the displayed code or enter another in the Code field.
  4. Type the name for this enumerated value in the Name field.
  5. Click OK.
