Configuring Secure Communications for Client Applications

Restriction: This topic applies only when the Enterprise Server feature is enabled.

A client application is an application that communicates with Enterprise Server Enterprise. You can require a certificate from any clients that communicate with your server. This sets up SSL links for peer-to-peer communication (as opposed to client/server communication).

In order to communicate securely, a client application needs access to the root certificates of any trusted CAs that the server uses. The trusted CAs are those who signed the certificates of the servers you are communicating with securely.
