To configure the IDE to use custom templates

Once you have created your custom templates, you need to configure the IDE so that it shows them alongside the Micro Focus templates in the wizards for creating projects or files. You can also set a custom project or file to be the default option.

  1. In the IDE, click Window > Preferences.
  2. Expand Micro Focus, and click Templates.
  3. In the Project templates and the Source file templates sections, click Browse to select the folders where you have saved your custom project and file templates.
  4. If you want to change the default template, select a project or file category from the Default template drop-down fields.
  5. In the pane below the lists, click the template you want to use as the default.
  6. Click Apply, and then click OK.

Next time you create a project or a file of the same project type, your custom template is the one selected by default.
